Jennifer Lopez is to star in her own television reality show.
The series will focus on music, marriage and motherhood - Lopez gave birth to twins, Maximilian David and Emme Maribel, in February.
Cameras will follow Lopez and her third husband, Latin singer Marc Anthony, as she launches a new fragrance and juggles her responsibilities as a first-time mother.
The 38-year-old star is billed as the co-creator and executive producer of the show, which will air on The Learning Channel. No launch date has been set.
“I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together,” Lopez said.
The channel’s president, Angela Shapiro-Mathes, said: “Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible role model for our audience. I’m thrilled to be partnering with her on a series that will take our audience into a fascinating world. It’s a fun, emotional journey that will be inspirational and yet very relatable to today’s women.”
Quite how relatable remains to be seen. J-Lo, who was born and brought up in the Bronx, now lives in a lavish mansion in Brookville, New York.
The nursery has a crystal chandelier, the twins each have a $3,000 pram, and two baby nurses are on hand around the clock.
The singer was ranked by Forbes.com last year as the ninth richest female entertainer in Hollywood, with a net worth estimated at $110 million. In addition to her music career, she has also forged a successful movie career with such films as Monster-In-Law, Maid In Manhattan and Out Of Sight.
